Construction crews continued work on the old terminal at the Myrtle Beach International Airport.
The remaining renovations on the second floor of the old terminal will increase the amount of gates at the airport from 7 to 12.
Kirk Lovell, the spokesperson for the airport, said the expansion was necessary to accommodate more flights.
Airport officials said when renovations are done it will closely resemble the new terminal.
Lovell said they expect the work to be done by May.
