‘My friends call me Jesus’ says SC murder suspect to judge

ANDERSON, SC – Stephen Grant Parten has been extradited back to Anderson County after he was arrested in Tennessee.

Parten, 33, of Anderson was identified as the suspect in a shooting that happened at the White City Park Bridge on Centerville Road in Anderson.

He was charged with murder, attempted murder, and having possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

According to an arrest warrant, Parten shot 25-year-old Ahmed Fallous in the chest and hit Fallous’ girlfriend in the head with a gun. Parten also threatened to kill her, but she was able to escape, according to the warrants.

Parten was booked into the Anderson County Detention Center Monday afternoon.

He went before a judge Tuesday morning, but will have to see a higher judge for his bond to be set.

Parten refused to acknowledge his name was Stephen Grant Parten. He told the judge that his friends call him by another name. He told the judge he had nothing else to say to her because she wasn’t his friend.
