GEORGETOWN, SC (WBTW) – The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly crash in Georgetown County.
According to Cpl. Sonny Collins, the crash happened Monday afternoon around 2:30 p.m. on US 17 and Pendergrass Road in Murrells Inlet.
Collins said the driver of a PT Cruiser failed to yield the right of way and pulled out in front of a box truck and was struck on the driver’s side.
Georgetown County Deputy Coroner Paulette Radcliffe said 79-year-old Virginia C. Sibauste of Murrells Inlet died at Grand Strand Hospital.
No charges will be filed in this case.
