A pet grooming business in Murrells Inlet caught on fire on Tuesday afternoon and suffered heavy damage, fire officials said.

The fire broke out around 3:35 pm Tuesday at the business at 3036 US 17 Business, said J.R. Haney, Assistant Fire Chief with Murrells Inlet-Garden City Fire told News13.

Haney said the business was named Creekside Critters. Haney was not sure if any pets were injured in  the fire.

Haney said that there were heavy flames with fire crews arrived and that “most of the interior of the business was gutted.”

Fire crews are currently putting out any hot-spots inside the building and doing salvage work, Haney said.
