It may seem the video evidence in the Walter Scott shooting back in April makes a very good case for the prosecution. Still both sides know there is more to it than just the video.
Motions recently filed by Savage Law Firm say evidence they requested is not being produced and needs to be preserved.

The court motions include requested information on: witness interviews, information on a knife alleged to have been on Walter Scott, dash cam video and documents from a Coroner’s investigation.
Court papers also say that back in April investigators left two bullets at the scene and once they were made aware, Slager’s lawyers say a previous laser scan of the area was electronically deleted and a new one was produced.
In the Motion for Preservation it says “SLED has aggressively crafted a narrative of this incident and its investigation by way of statements and documents released to the press.” It goes on to say, “SLED has since refused multiple requests by Slager for similar materials under the State’s FIOA law, citing its ongoing investigation.”
No trial date has been set for former officer Michael Slager; it could be up to year before a trial underway.
