MULLINS, SC (WBTW) – Mullins police and the Marion County Sheriff’s Office ended a manhunt Thursday morning but were unsuccessful in locating the suspect.
According to Captain Phil Mostowski with the Mullins Police Department, officers were responding to a burglary in progress when the presumed suspect attempted to get away. A brief car chase ended in a crash on Mullins and Wine Streets, confirms Capt. Mostowski.
The suspect ran from the crash scene and officers partnered with K9 units to search for the person. Capt. Mostowski says although they did not locate the suspect, they have identified a person of interest. The Captain did not want to give the person’s name or description.
