GREENVILLE, S.C. – A real estate agent in Greenville is taking advantage of the crazy political season to try and help people sell their homes.

The signs say: “Moving to Canada? I’ll sell your home.”

Dan Hamilton of Keller Williams Realty in Greenville says it’s intended to be a joke and to tap into what people are already talking about.

“You can’t turn on the news every day and not see Trump or Clinton,” Hamilton explained.

The billboards have been up for a couple of weeks and he has received a lot of feedback.

“I’ve gotten a lot of calls and texts and emails and a lot of people think it’s funny,” he said.

Hamilton also serves as a Republican Representative in the SC Statehouse.

“A lot of people say you shouldn’t mix politics and business but I’m already headlong into both as an elected official,” Hamilton explained. “It really isn’t about the politics of either candidate, it’s about the conversation people are having and a lot of people are very engaged in this election this year, so we’re having fun with it.”

Hamilton says he’s already had a couple of people call him because of the sign, wanting to sell their home, not to move out of the country, but because of the clever marketing campaign.
