FLORENCE COUNTY (WBTW) – One person has died after a motorcycle crash in Florence Friday evening.
According to Lance Cpl. Sonny Collins with South Carolina Highway Patrol, the crash happened on Alligator Rd near Buckshot Rd around 7:15 p.m.
The driver of a 2001 Lexus was traveling west while a driver of a 2005 Harley Davidson was traveling east on Alligator Rd.
Collins said the Lexus turned left in front of the Harley when they crashed.
Collins added the driver of the Lexus was not injured and the driver of the Harley was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Florence County Coroner Keith von Lutcken said the crash killed Robert Williamson, 47, of Florence.
The crash remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
