More than a dozen busted in Myrtle Beach prostitution sting

The Myrtle Beach Police Department arrested multiple people for prostitution Wednesday evening.

According to police, a dozen people have been charged with sex/prostitution 1st offense.

Many of the arrests were made in the area of 17th Avenue South and South Kings Highway.

Officers with the Myrtle Beach Police Department conducted an operation, on Tuesday, March 27, to identify and arrest persons who were soliciting prostitution in our city, said a press release from the MBPD. Our team consisted of team members from our Street Crimes Unit, US Marshals Task Force Officers, our K-9 Teams, and detention officers.

This is a great example of our team working together to make our city a safer place, Chief Amy Prock said in the release.
