LITTLE RIVER, SC (WBTW) – On Monday, Horry County police released they arrested 32 people in a narcotics operation last Wednesday.

Reports say seizures include $24,000 worth of heroin, $5,100 worth of cocaine, $1,600 worth crack cocaine, $3,000 worth of marijuana, four handguns, two shotguns, and a rifle. Police also took a 2011 Mercedes Benz valued at $30,000 and over $10,000 currency.

The extensive release from Horry County police also included mugshots, arrest warrants and charges for 30 people taken into custody on various drug charges, and mention of two juveniles arrested on drug charges.

Horry County police held a press conference on the operation Monday.

“We are looking at innovative and creative programs to get them off this drug. You can’t attack the supply without the demand. The demand is what’s driving the supply of the drugs so if we can attack the demand side, educating our kids in middle school and high school so they never get on this drug, educating the offender who is addicted and getting them counseling services to break that cycle of addiction, that’s our goal,” Police Chief Joseph Hill said.
