COLUMBIA– SC Lottery officials announced Wednesday more than $5 million in payouts over two drawings that resulted in triple number combinations.
The triple number combination is hands down the Lottery’s most played sequence, a press release from the SC Lottery said.
In less than a week, the Pick 3 drawings have amounting to a staggering $5.5 million in prizes paid to more than 22,200 winners.
Tuesday’s Pick 3 midday drawing saw those faithful to repeat 7’s winning anywhere from $250 to $500 with a total prize payout of more than $2.1 million. In last Friday’s evening Pick 3 drawing a record number of winners, more than 13,000, celebrated back-to-back-to-back 5’s with a $3.4 million payout.
Combined these two drawings produced almost 12 times the number of winners from the same drawings on the previous week.
Players have 180 days from the date of the drawing in which to claim their prizes. Winners should always sign the back of their ticket first to safeguard their prize.
