Additional remains were found by investigators in Berkeley County on Wednesday, according to Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury.

Crews from the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office along with Berkeley County widened a search area for additional bones of Nicole Goodlett.

Goodlett went missing from her home on LobLolly Lane in March of 2014. Her skull was found in Berkeley County in November of 2015. It was identified as Goodlett at the end of March.CLICK HERE FOR PHOTOS

In November, investigators tried to search for other bones, but none were located, the ones they found Wednesday were spread across an acre and they now have about 55% of her remains.

The coroner says that the bones were scattered due to animal activity.

The forensic anthropologist is examining the bones to see if there are any obvious signs of trauma to them.

The bones were located within miles of a home of family of the person of interest, Jerald Howard.

Howard remains the person of interest but has never been charged.
