Myrtle Beach, SC (WBTW) – MLB Hall of Famer Ozzie Smith visited the Grand Strand and the Cal Ripken experience on Sunday to speak with hundreds of kids set to play in a big tournament this week. Smith was a shortshop for the San Diego Padres and St. Louis Cardinals for 19 years and had a history of making specticular plays at the position, while making 15 All-Star games. This week 62 teams aged 11 to 14 will compete at the Ripken experience, most of which are from Ohio, Michigan, and Illinois.
