Authorities say they have found a teen girl who was missing for a week from her home in Sumter County.

The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office was asking for the public’s help in locating the 15-year-old girl.

Kalaje Chiles, a Sumter resident, was found on Sunday after vanishing on April 5, the sheriff’s department said.

Kalaje was found around 9 am Sunday morning and is safe and healthy, sheriff’s officials told WLTX-TV.

She was discovered at a home off Caroland Drive, which is about 20 miles from her home.

She was last seen just after 10 pm April 5 at a house on Cannery Road in Sumter County.
