GOLDSBORO, N.C. – Authorities have located a missing 33-year-old woman whose vehicle became disabled in Wayne County Sunday.
Angel Denise Phillips was reported missing by her 15-year-old son early Saturday morning, according to Wayne County.
The boy reported his mother and he were involved in a “minor automobile accident” on Highway 55, west of Mount Olive.
The North Carolina State Highway Patrol reported the vehicle was towed at approximately 8 a.m. Saturday, according a press release from Tom Effler of Wayne County.
Phillips and her son, who are from Darlington, South Carolina were last seen together at approximately 11 a.m. Saturday.
Just before 2 p.m. Monday, Wayne County authorities said Phillips was located in the woods of Highway 55.
Tom Effler said Phillips was suffering from exposure to the elements but no obvious injury.
She was taken to the hospital for evaluation.
The family’s dog, a brown and white bulldog wearing a red collar and possibly a red leash, is also missing.
