AYNOR, SC (WBTW) – The family of a missing Aynor man continues to hold out hope one year after he walked away from a home on Marshland Road.

Randy Davis’s family held a vigil in his memory on Saturday night, almost one year after he disappeared.

“It’s been real hard, very hard” says Davis’ mother, Loretta Davis. “You can never imagine. I just wish I could see him.”

Davis went missing on Jan. 23, 2016, after he left a home on Marshland Road in Aynor. He was 26-years-old at the time. Davis’ friends and family gathered at Aynor Park on Saturday evening for a candlelight vigil, where they also released balloons into the sky in his honor.

“It’s been really hard knowing that my brother isn’t here. Knowing that he’s not just one phone call away,” explains Davis’ sister, Ashley Davis. “I miss the times where we sat in my bedroom, played video games, had fires out in the yard, just hung around, talked, laughed, carried on.”

Horry County Police conducted a search where Davis was last seen six days after his disappearance. More than 20 officers combed the area of Valley Forge Road and Coolbreeze Drive. Lt. Raul Denis says Davis’ disappearance is under “suspicious circumstances,” but police have never released a suspect or person of interest related to the case.

The Davis family is in the process of setting up a reward for any information regarding Randy’s disappearance.
