Miss Pee Dee Morgan Elvis shares victim advocacy platform

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – Miss Pee Dee 2018 Morgan Elvis joined News13 NOW at 9 a.m. on Wednesday to talk about her journey to the Miss South Carolina Pageant.

Elvis was crowned in Florence in October of 2017. She’ll compete in the Miss South Carolina pageant in June.

In addition, Elvis talked about her platform of promoting victim advocacy and victim rights. She created her own initiative called H.E.L.P.P., which stands for Hope, Encouragement, Love, Purpose and Perseverance. Elvis describes it as advocacy for survivors of circumstance, crime and crisis. She’s an advocate for more victims’ rights laws, and she also knows how important it is for survivors to find the support of others.
