Ministry in Darlington empower citizens through songs and prayer

DARLINGTON, SC (WBTW) – Local faith leaders in Darlington welcomed women and men of all ages across the Pee Dee to come together in unity in wake of police shootings Sunday afternoon.

Restoration Outreach Ministries held a forum at the Public Square in Downtown Darlington.

Several speakers and singers took the mic asking the community to help bring peace among citizens.

People who attended sang songs of praise and prayed.

One man who attended the forum says it helps empower lives.

“When we look around at what’s going on in the world, the shootings, even with the election coming up, the only way we’re going to get where we really want to be or where we truly need to be is that we need to come back to god and come back with prayer,” said Damien Prince.

Restoration Outreach Ministries Pastor Henry Chapman plans to host another event like this in the future. Pastor Chapman says the community should come together more often.
