MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – Diane Rumley joined News13 NOW at 9 a.m. on Monday to talk about her organization’s need for volunteers in the Grand Strand this week. Rumley and her husband Dr. Steve Rumley recently relocated the headquarters of Support Military Spouses. The organization works to show signs of appreciation to military spouses throughout the Carolinas and part of Georgia.
A major part of their work is giving care packages to military spouses. Watch the video for more details on the packages and the need for volunteers. They are assembling care packages this week at 1580 E Highway 9, Unit One in Longs, SC 29568. The building is across from Living Water Baptist Church in the same parking lot as Coastal Sleep Lab.
The following is from Support Military Spouses:
Support Military Spouses is hosting an Appreciation Care Package Assembly Party Apr 12-14 in the Myrtle Beach area. Help spread the word about this unique volunteer opportunity for the Myrtle Beach community to serve military spouses!
The assembly party is April 12, 13, & 14 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Volunteers will assist in assembling over 1,000 care packages that will go to a military spouse in North or South Carolina.
Please share this opportunity with your audience as soon as possible. Ideally we would be grateful to have 15-20 volunteers each day. Those interested need to register at www.supportmilitaryspouses.org.
