MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – Myrtle Beach police and firefighters were called to a reported meth lab Thursday morning.
The incident happened at a small apartment complex on 4th Avenue North just before 5 a.m.
According to a resident, a meth lab was discovered in a first-level apartment. He said police evacuated the neighbors in the three other apartments in the building.
Myrtle Beach Police Lt. Joey Crosby said the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division Disposal Team has been contacted and is in route to this location.
The American Red Cross also responded to assist the 15 people displaced by the evacuation. Volunteers provided food, water and snacks to the residents who were displaced for hours.
