ORRUM, NC (WBTW) – Two people are in custody following a reported armed robbery Monday in Orrum, according to the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were dispatched to Oakridge Grocery and Fish Market, in the 6700-block of Wiregrass Road, Monday just before 4 p.m.

Deputies were given a description of a vehicle, which was later located on Interstate 95 South at Mile Marker 6. Deputies say two people were inside and one had been shot.

The Robeson County Sheriff’s Office arrested Gregory Eugene Davis, 25, of Fairmont, in connection to the incident. He was charged with robbery with a firearm or other weapon, simple assault and battery, possession of firearm by felon, kidnapping and conspiracy. Davis is being held at the Robeson County Detention Center on a $1 million bond.

Deputies identified the second suspect, who was found shot, as Daniel Wilson Bethea, 24, of Richland County. The Robeson County Sheriff’s Office says he was taken to the hospital and has outstanding warrants. He was charged with armed robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, assault by pointing a gun, kidnapping and conspiracy.
