COLUMBIA, SC – With no winner on the horizon yet, the Mega Millions jackpot has grown to $415 million, the highest jackpot in years.
In December of 2013, the jackpot climbed to $648 million, and was only rivaled by a $656 million jackpot in March of 2012.
The lottery is reporting steady sales and Tuesday night’s drawing resulted in more than 43,000 South Carolina players winning prizes ranging from $1 to $5,000. South Carolina has yet to have a Mega Millions win and to bring home the jackpot, players will have to overcome odds of 1 in 259 million.
Tickets are $1 and must be purchased by 10 p.m. for Friday’s 11 p.m. drawing.
