LITTLE RIVER, SC – The McLeod Health Foundation benefitting McLeod Loris Seacoast announces the McLeod Seacoast Cancer Benefit Golf Classic presented by Atlantic Urology Associates. This 2-day event will be held on Friday, October 28 and Saturday, October 29, 2016, at the Grande Dunes Member’s Club in Myrtle Beach, SC. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the cancer patients at McLeod Seacoast through the HOPE Fund (Helping Oncology Patients Everyday).

The HOPE Fund was established for cancer patient support services and to provide the oncology staff with the improved access for the immediate assistance for their patients. The HOPE Fund assists patients who have financial barriers to care. Without the HOPE Fund, McLeod Seacoast would not be able to offer patients transportation to treatments, assistance with pain and nausea medications and specialized nutrition. It also supports volunteer programs and educational resources for cancer patients and families.

“We are excited to have so many community members and sponsors sign on early to support the HOPE Fund,” said Kelly Hughes, McLeod Health Foundation Director. “This is going to be a fun event for participants and make a real difference for our patients.”

The tournament includes lunch on Friday, breakfast and an awards luncheon on Saturday, and beverages on the course. In addition, there will be a Friday evening “Cancer Classic Cocktail Party” for golfers and guests with a gourmet dinner, silent auction and live music. Additional tickets for non-golf guests are available but space is limited.

Sponsorship opportunities are available. For more information or to register for the McLeod Seacoast Cancer Benefit Golf Classic, please call the Nichole Rivers at (843) 390-8338 or visit www.mcleodfoundation.org.-This information is from a Press Release.
