MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW)- Myrtle Beach Police are investigating a strong armed robbery at Family Kingdom Amusement Park on Friday afternoon.

According to the police report, an 81-year-old man, told police two males passed by his window at the parking gate twice trying to get inside the booth. The victim says he ignored them but they came back a third time asking how much it was to park.

The victim says he told them the rate and times but before he could finish explaining, one of the males grabbed the cash box out the booth. The victim says he then struggled with one of the suspects for the cash box. The reports state that during the struggle, one of the suspects pushed the victim and money from the box fell all over the ground.

Police say once the suspects had the cash box they took off running southbound on Ocean Boulevard before cutting through the 6th Avenue South Beach access. Police say their last know direction was toward the beach.

Officers called to the scene were able to locate the stolen cash box in the 6th Avenue South Beach Access and police say it still had some money inside. Police say the suspects got away with $764.00.
