MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – Myrtle Beach police say there is no evidence of shots fired after receiving initial reports that someone was struck inside a house.

According Cpl. Thomas Vest, with the Myrtle Beach Police Department, officers were called to the area of Green Bay Trail in reference to shots fired on Monday evening.

“Initial reports were that someone was struck in the house,” Cpl. Vest told News13. “Our investigation has shown that there is no evidence to suggest that any of those initial reports were correct.”

Officers are reportedly speaking with residents of the home and “everyone is very cooperative.”
