MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW)- Myrtle Beach Police say a teen reported missing in Myrtle Beach left of her own free will.
Lieutenant Joey Crosby with the Myrtle Beach Police Department says officers completed a review of the evidence in this investigation and determined that 16-year-old Katelyn Mullinax left the Myrtle Beach area on her own free will.
Police say they safely located her on Saturday afternoon.
Police say the evidence has revealed that she was not kidnapped or forced to leave. A warrant has been obtained for a subject for the charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Police say they when a warrant is issued they will release the defendant’s name.
Police say Katelyn has now been released to the custody of her parents.
She was initially reported missing on Monday, March 28 after last being seen in the area of 803 South Ocean Boulevard.
