MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – Police say they found cocaine in the pocket of a man they charged with DUI after a 4-vehicle crash on US 17 Bypass.
While being booked at jail, police say Gregory Allen Glover, 45, had a clear plastic baggy with a white powder substance in his back, right pocket. The powder tested positive for cocaine.
Glover was involved in an accident on US 17 and 29th Avenue North at about 8 p.m. on Saturday night, according to the Myrtle Beach Police Department report. Four vehicles were involved, police said.
Two victims sustained life-threatening injuries in the accident, according to police. No other information on the victims has been released.
Police said when they arrived on the scene and spoke with Glover, they detected a strong odor of alcohol. Glover asked for his lawyer and refused a field sobriety test, according to the report.
Glover was taken to Conway Medical Center with a warrant for a blood sample. Results have not been released at this time.
Glover was charged with felony DUI with great bodily injury and possession of cocaine. He was released from jail on $55,000 bond.
