CHARLOTTE, NC – Tens of thousands of pounds of potatoes are covering I-77 Southbound in Charlotte.
A sleepy driver crashed a tractor-trailer at the interchange with I-277. According to CBS-affiliate WBTV, the driver hit a concrete barrier and spilled out the potatoes on the highway.
The road is expected to shut down for hours while crews work to clean up the spill.
