The Marlboro County Summerfest is Friday, June 5 through Sunday June 7 in Bennettsville. A concert at the Bennettsville Civic Center , featuring The Embers, kicks things off Friday evening at 7. Saturday the festivities begin at 10am along Marlboro Street with two stages for live performances from area bands including Florence’s own ‘Tastes Like Chicken’. There are also activities for the children – a giant bounce around, miniature train ride, and petting zoo. The event also features a car show, food, and arts and crafts vendors. On Sunday there will be two ski shows (2:00pm and 4:00pm) with the Carolina Ski Group at Bennettsville’s Lake Paul Wallace. Proceeds from this event go to the Marlboro County Arts Council.
