A Marlboro County bus driver was cited after a crash on Highway 38 on Thursday.
The crash happened at Hwy 38 and Brigman Road, south of Bennettsville, on Thursday afternoon, according to South Carolina Highway Patrol Trooper Sonny Collins. The driver of the bus, Anthony Bright, pulled out onto the road and was hit.
Collins also said Bright was cited with failure to yield to the right of way.
According to Marlboro County School District Superintendent Dr. Gregory McCord, the bus driver was cited by SCHP on Thursday afternoon with failure to yield to the right of way after colliding with a car on Highway 38.
McCord told News13 he believes four students were on the bus at the time of the crash and that no one in the other vehicle was hurt.
McCord did not provide the name of the bus driver, but said both vehicles involved had minor damage.
