DARLINGTON, SC (WBTW) – A man whom Darlington County deputies believe was shot at a convenience store showed up at a hospital Monday night.

The man arrived “by personal vehicle” at approximately 8:15 p.m., deputies said. It’s unclear whether he drove himself to the hospital or someone drove him.

A press release from the sheriff’s office said he was stable. It only identified him as a man from Marion County.

Investigators believe he was shot in the parking lot of a convenience store at the coroner of Turnpike Road and Ebenezer Road.

Deputies didn’t release additional information about the circumstances of the shooting. The man wasn’t cooperating with investigators, they said.
