MARION, SC (WBTW) – Marion city council voted Thursday to negotiate a “final severance package” for its police chief, Mayor Ashley Brady confirmed to News13.
Police chief Dewayne Tennie has been on administrative leave with pay “due to a pending investigation” since at least the beginning of March. The city never released information about the investigation, despite repeated requests by News13, because it involves a “personnel matter.”
Mayor Brady wouldn’t confirm whether Tennie will be fired.
