BLUFFTON, SC (WNCN/WSAV) – Former President Bill Clinton asked a very vocal Marine Corps veteran to sit down and shut up during a campaign appearance in South Carolina.

The Marine, who says he was a former drill instructor on Parris Island, SC, asked the former President about Hillary Clinton’s role in the death of four US citizens in Benghazi in Sept. 2012.

“And the thing is, we had four lives in Benghazi killed and your wife tried to cover it up!” the Marine yelled at President Clinton.

During the back-and-forth exchange, the former President eventually told the audience that the Marine’s “mind has been poisoned.”

Eventually, deputies took the Marine from the venue as audience members jeered the man.

President Clinton did ask that the Marine be allowed to stay.

Marine: “I was a Marine.. I was out in California… and I was a Marine drill instructor out here on Parris Island,” the Marine yelled.

Clinton: “Thank you for your service”

The Marine then continued to yell and Clinton tried to answer — and getting frustrated responded:

Clinton: “This is America I get to answer back.”

Clinton: “I heard your speech, they heard your speech, you listen to me now.’

Clinton:  “I’m not your Commander in Chief anymore, but if I were, I would tell you to be more polite. Sit down.”

Clinton: “Do you have the courage to listen to my answer?”

Clinton: “Don’t throw him out. If you will shut up and listen to my answer, I will answer.”

Clinton: “That’s what’s wrong — his mind has been poisoned by lies and he won’t listen.”
