LAURINBURG, NC (WBTW) – The Scotland County Sheriff’s Department arrested a Laurinburg man on marijuana charges .
According the department’s Facebook page, Michael Raymond Desmond Jr.,30, was arrested a charged with manufacturing marijuana, possession of marijuana paraphernalia and simple possession of schedule VI controlled substance.
Several items were seized in the raid of Desmond’s home on Arch McLean Road including 35 marijuana plants, the page stated.
Desmond was placed in the Scotland County Detention Center under a $16,000 secured bond.
