Myrtle Beach, SC (WBTW) — Former South Carolina football star and current director of player development for USC Marcus Lattimore was on the grand strand to host the First Choice Fit® Marcus Lattimore youth football camp .

The camp is designed to help promote kids mental and physcial heath and was free to the public. The camp also featured a community health fair with free health screenings for adults in attendance.

Lattimore took the children through various drills and ended the camp with a team huddle with the kids and families before signing autographs.

Lattimore is best known for being one of the best running backs in South Carolina football history but had his career cut short after several knee injuries in college. He was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers but never playing in an NFL game.

Additional camps will be held in Spartanburg on May 4 and Columbia on May 11 and you can find out more information on those camps by going to www.selecthealthofsc.com.
