DARLINGTON, SC (WBTW) –  A man wanted in connection with a Darlington County shooting has turned himself in. 

Lt. Robby Kilgo, with the DCSO, says Larry Roger Allen Carroway, 39, of Wedgefield, South Carolina, turned himself in to deputies on Thursday evening.

According to a press release from DCSO, arrest warrants were previously obtained for Carroway for voluntary manslaughter, possession of a firearm by a convicted violent felon, and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

Darlington County Coroner J. Todd Hardee identified the victim in a press release as Bartina Robinson, 41, of Lamar. Robinson died from a gunshot wound. Hardee said the death has been ruled a homicide. 

An autopsy is scheduled for Friday in Newberry, SC, Hardee also said. The incident is under investigation by the Darlington County Coroner’s Office and the Darlington County Sheriff’s Office. 

Darlington County deputies were notified of a victim with a gunshot wound at a hospital around 9:50 p.m. on Wednesday, according to a DCSO press release. “Investigators allege the suspect unlawfully shot and killed the victim with a handgun while both were in a vehicle traveling on E. Bobo Newsom Hwy. near Hartsville. The suspect drove the victim to a local hospital and fled after dropping the victim off.”
