LUMBERTON, NC (WBTW) – A man showed up in the emergency room with a gunshot wound and said three people wearing hoodies shot him, according to police.
Lumberton police responded to a call at the emergency room of Southeastern Regional Medical Center at 8:50 p.m. on Sunday about a person with a gunshot wound.
Officers said they spoke with the man, who told them he was traveling on Rowland Avenue in the area of 31st Street when he heard someone yelling. That’s when the man saw three people wearing hoodies walking toward the driver’s door of his car.
The man said he heard a loud bang, realized he was shot in the arm, and drove himself to the hospital, according to the police report.
No additional information on the suspects is available at this time.
