A man surrendered to the Atlantic Beach Police Department Thursday night following a call about a man with a gun.
Marquis J Rhames, 27, of Longs, was armed with a gun and refused to come out of his apartment, according to Horry County police, who assisted Atlantic Beach PD with the call.
The man was inside his apartment building along 31st Avenue South, according to police. He eventually surrendered to Atlantic Beach police.
No shots were fired and no injuries have been reported at this point.
Atlantic Beach Police Chief Quentin Robinson tells us the man will be charged with pointing and presenting a firearm, and assault and battery – 3rd degree.
