A man was shot in the leg during a shooting at a bar in Georgetown early Thursday morning.
According to a Facebook post from the Georgetown Police Department, officers were dispatched to Mingz Bar and Grill around 12:15 a.m. on Thursday in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim, identified as 36-year-old Jonathan Ward, of Georgetown.
Ward had been shot in the leg one time, the post says. He was taken to Georgetown Memorial Hospital and transferred to the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. No other information on his condition is available.
“Officers were informed that the shooting took place in the parking lot. The crime scene was processed and witnesses were interviewed,” states the post. ” Investigators are following up on leads at this time.”
