Florence Police say a man who was shot Saturday night died shortly after the shooting at a local hospital.
Police say it happened around 8:30 p.m. in the 1000th block of West Dixie Street in Florence.
Coroner Keith von Lutcken identified the victim as 25 year-old Terrell Quantrev Smith of Ingram Street in Florence.
Officials say Smith died later Saturday evening from his injuries.
The body has been sent to MUSC in Charleston for an autopsy.
Major Carlos Raines says two suspects fled the scene, and no arrests have been made at this time.
The murder is under investigation by the Florence Police Department and Florence County Coroner’s Office.
