BRADENTON, FL — FBI agents have arrested a Florida man who they claim was using Craigslist to gain access to children.

The man, who labeled himself as a babysitter, a nanny and a housekeeper was advertising his “services” on Craigslist, but the FBI says the skills that Nathan Alexander Bryan truly possessed are sick, seedy, and sinister – a man on a mission to meet kids, according to federal agents.

This guy had goals that are turning parents’ stomachs, agents say. At 39-years-old, Nathan Bryan now sits in the Pinellas County Jail where he’ll remain without bond. He’s accused of reaching out to moms and dads on Craigslist, promising child care. But, he really wanted close contact with kids, agents say.

In fact, the FBI set up a sting at a Bradenton Starbucks where an agent went undercover as a “bad dad,” offering up his fictitious 8-year-old for sex. The “nanny” took the bait, busted for trying to seal the deal, reports show. The Child Exploitation Task Force then arrested him for attempted sexual enticement of a child.

“It’s getting worse and worse in our community,” says Jennifer Stracick from Alpha House. The executive director has worked with women and children facing abuse. She calls this problem with predators an “epidemic.”
