A man described as looking “like the walking dead” while allegedly attempting to break down a woman’s door has been arrested.

Cpl. Thomas Vest, with the Myrtle Beach Police Department, confirms Anthony Saporita was arrested in the case.

Myrtle Beach booking records show Saporita is charged with first degree burglary.

According to Savannah Brotherton, who shared surveillance video with News13 in December, the man looked to be covered in mud and “looked like the walking dead.”

According to an incident report from the MBPD, officers responded to a residence on Foxtrot Lane in Myrtle Beach around 10:20 p.m. in reference to a suspicious call.

Upon arriving, officers spoke with the victim, the report says. The victim showed officers the door, which was covered in mud, along with her porch.

Officers found the suspect, identified in the report as Saporita, in a ditch. He was taken to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center.
