SPARTANBURG, SC – A man is dead after he was hit by switcher truck at the FedEx Distribution Center.
It happened at the facility off of Falling Creek Road in Spartanburg.
Michael Warren Ledtke, 55, of Simpsonville, was hit by a truck on the yard.
According to SC Highway Patrol, the switcher truck was traveling south on private property and Ledtke was also walking South.
FedEx released this statement:
Our deepest thoughts and concerns are with those most affected by this morning’s tragic accident. We are cooperating fully with investigating authorities as they determine the circumstances behind this incident.”
