NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – A North Myrtle Beach man is in jail after a woman came forward claiming she was kept in a back room of the man’s business and was continuously beaten and sexually assaulted.
A police report from North Myrtle Beach Department of Public Safety says officers arrested Raul Gilberto Arvizu-Huerta, 47, of North Myrtle Beach at La Raza De La Paz Hispanic Grocery Store, located at 1205 S Hwy 17, Monday. Arvizu-Huerta was jailed after a woman told police she lived in a back room of the store since September 2015 and had been violently beaten and sexually assaulted by Arvizu-Huerta for nearly seven months.
