A man has been found not guilty in a 2017 Florence murder case. 

12th Circuit Solicitor Ed Clements says Tyquan Johnson was found not guilty of murder, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime. The trial lasted three days. 

Johnson was arrested and charged in May 2017 after a man was shot and killed on West Marion Street in Florence, Lt. Mike Brandt, with the Florence Police Department, told News13. 

The victim was identified by the Florence County Coroner’s Office as 41-year-old Christopher David Scott, of Florence.
