LUMBERTON, S.C. (WBTW) – Robeson County deputies arrested a Fayetteville man on charges of robbery, kidnapping and assault.

Mario Donte Whitted, 24, faces multiple charges in connection to a robbery that happened March 25 on 7th Street Road in Lumberton.

Two cell phones, money, a bank card and car keys valued at $1,622 were stolen during the robbery, according to the sheriff’s office.

Whitted is charged with two counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon, two counts of second-degree kidnapping, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Whitted remains at the Robeson County Detention Center with a $75,000 bond.

Fayetteville Police Department and Raeford Police Department assisted with the investigation.
