Authorities in Georgetown are investigating a fatal shooting that happened Tuesday night.
The incident happened just after 9 pm on Alex Alford Drive in Georgetown, the Georgetown City Police said.
The man who was shot was initially taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
However, soon after that police said that “the victim in tonight’s shooting has passed away.”
Georgetown Deputy Coroner, Paulette Radcliffe identifies the victim as Tory Thomas, 27 of Georgetown.
An autopsy will be conducted Wednesday at the Medical University of South Carolina.
So far, no word on a suspect.
