Man connected to Myrtle Beach bank robbery arrested, charged for other crimes

Police say they have arrested the person accused of robbing a Myrtle Beach bank last week. 

On Thursday, investigators announced they located and arrested Robert Thomas with help from the Horry County Police Department. Thomas has been charged with bank robbery and kidnapping. He has also been charged with burglary, strong-armed robbery, and kidnapping in relation to a separate incident in the 5600 block of North Kings Highway on Dec. 18. 

Officers with the Myrtle Beach Police Department were called out to the First Citizens Bank on 75th Avenue North Friday around 5:30. Officers say the suspect ran from the bank after taking cash.
