BENNETTSVILLE, SC (WBTW) – Police have charged a man with stealing a 20-foot enclosed Pace trailer.
Lt. Larry Turner with the Bennettsville Police Department said they apprehended Lenard Gaskin Jr. in Darlington County without incident. He’s been charged with grand larceny.
Gaskin stole the trailer in January when it was parked at a local business in Bennettsville, according to police. The trailer was recovered in the Society Hill area of Darlington County with help from the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Gaskin is in the Marlboro County Detention Center awaiting bond.
The investigation is ongoing.
