MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – A man has been charged with filing a false police report after claiming a driver hit him while he was on his bicycle.
Donnie Lee Gore, 45, was charged on Friday by Myrtle Beach Police. The incident happened at the intersection of 14th Ave and North Kings Hwy at about 7:49 p.m. on Friday.
According to the incident report, the officer arrived and found Gore with one leg inside the victim’s car. The victim and a witness say Gore was in front of the victim’s car when he laid his bike down and claimed he’d been hit by her car.
Gore then got into the victim’s car and sat in the passenger seat, police said.
The report says Gore did not have injuries consistent with his claims and since there was a witness, he was charged with filing a false police report.
